How a pitch moves through review

  1. 01Choose the lane the track belongs in.
  2. 02Paste the public Spotify link to the released track.
  3. 03Say how AI was used in the music, then send the pitch.
  4. 04A curator listens in the next weekly batch and emails the decision. Accepted tracks are added to a playlist by hand.

Pitch your track

Questions before you pitch

Is playlist consideration free?

Yes. Pitching a track to a Planetary playlist costs nothing, and no payment, subscription, or purchase changes a decision. Selection is editorial: a curator places tracks that fit a specific playlist. There is no pay-for-placement tier and no paid review queue.

How long does a playlist decision take?

Curators review pitches in weekly batches, so a track enters the next batch after it arrives. You get one email when a curator starts listening and another with the decision. A pitch is not a promise of placement or of written feedback.

Does a playlist placement mean I am signed to Planetary Records?

No. Placement does not indicate label affiliation. These playlists feature independent artists from across the AI music community. Label A&R is a separate path with its own demo form, and pitching a playlist never enters a track into label review.

Do I have to disclose that the music is AI-assisted?

Yes. Name the tools that generated or processed the music and say what you did yourself: arrangement, vocals, mixing, mastering. These playlists exist for AI-assisted music, so disclosure is a condition of consideration rather than a mark against a track.

Can I choose which playlist my track goes on?

You choose the lane; the curator chooses the playlist. If you arrive from a playlist page, that playlist is recorded as your preference. The curator still decides where the track fits, or whether it fits this round at all.

How many tracks can I pitch?

Up to three pitches a day per email address, and one pitch per track. Sending the same track twice is rejected automatically. Pitch the release you would want a stranger to hear first rather than an entire catalog.
